One of our most beloved dishes! Gently oven-cooked for 12 (yes TWELVE) hours, dancing that fine line between caramel and burnt crisp, our beef rendang flares up all the bright lights of your neural pathways.

"Worth the 1 hour 45 drive to collect", says our regular South London customer ND, and according to celebrity rockstar chef of Darjeeling Express Asma Khan, best eaten sitting on the floor of the kitchen in the dark ...

Great with some fragrant steamed jasmine rice too. 

Ingredients:
Grass fed beef shin, organic coconut milk, onion, garlic, ginger, salt, organic dark brown sugar, rapeseed oil, tamarind paste, chilli, kaffir lime leaf, cinnamon, ground coriander, cardamom, star anise, clove, turmeric.

Storage instructions:

Keep in fridge – 3 days
Keep in freezer – 3 months
Once defrosted do not refreeze

Heating instructions:

Remove contents from compostable packaging and place in a microwave-safe bowl. 

Microwave: Microwave from frozen for 5 minutes. Stir the contents to check if warmed through. Heat for another 1-3 minutes if needed.

Stove: Place contents (not bag) in a saucepan. Add a tablespoon of water, to stop contents from burning. Warm up on medium heat until the contents are steaming and gravy is gently bubbling.
